Our customer had just had their beautiful original period sash windows renovated in their Victorian home, so they wanted to add some privacy whilst maintaining the stylish look of the bay window. It was important that the shutters complimented the styling of the original window.
They chose café style shutters which let in plenty of light whilst providing privacy from passers-by on the pavement outside.
The top of the shutters was aligned with the meeting rail of the sash window. A tiny detail but one that allows you to see the ornate brass hardware on the sash window.
The wide colour palette allowed them to co-ordinate the colour with their existing colour scheme.
